We are seeking Software Development Engineers to become key members of our server-side development team. This team is responsible for creating all infrastructure required for peer to peer video on demand streaming including: peer to peer optimization services, messaging backbones, overlay networks, report aggregation, customer portals, customer integration, and data delivery. We are looking for someone with broad knowledge of distributed applications and the drive to succeed to build world-class software components. Responsibilities:

• Develop robust distributed application components in Java through the use of services, messaging, and service buses.
• As a key member of the GridNetworks server design team actively participates in the analysis, selection, and building of technologies.
• Develop customer interface portal(s) and reporting solutions.
• Integrate existing content management systems with Grid.
• Collaborate with client technology engineers to optimize the delivery of video on demand streaming.

Requirements:

• BA or BS in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
• 4+ years proven track record developing stable, highly available, high volume, distributed applications, including development in a Linux environment. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle as well as agile development methodologies is required.
• Experience with enterprise application, messaging and service oriented design patterns.
• Ability to take complex ideas to ground in a fast paced environment.
• Core competencies in Java/J2EE, Web Services, Messaging, Networking, Database, Reporting, and Web Development.
• Excellent communication skills with the desire and ability to collaborate as a member of a strong technical team, as well as a self-directed individual achiever.
• Candidates must be a legal U.S. citizen or possess a Green Card.
